How do AeroGardens work?
AeroGardens are designed to help you grow your own herbs, vegetables, salad greens or flowers at home. Our Seed Pod Kits are compatible with every model of AeroGarden. Planting with Seed Pods is fun and easy! Just insert the pre-seeded pods in your garden, add water, and the patented, specially formulated Liquid Nutrients. Most plants germinate within 7-14 days, are ready for harvesting in 4-6 weeks, and will keep producing continuous harvests for up to 6 months and longer. Indoor gardening can’t get any tastier or simpler!
How do I prune Lettuce/Salads?
Lettuce is one of the fastest-growing indoor crops and it's a staple. Who doesn't love to be healthy with delicious home-grown lettuce, or add a fresh leaf of romaine on their sandwich, or a salad of tasty arugula? And with AeroGarden, you can enjoy delicious Spring greens all throughout fall and winter!
How long will it take my plants to germinate?
Different types of plants take different amounts of time to germinate and grow. In general, we’ve found these germination timeframes to be consistent:
- Flowers take about 7-12 days
- Salads: 5-8 days
- Herbs: 5-15 days
- Fruiting vegetables (such as tomatoes and peppers): 7-14 days
If any of your seed pods don’t germinate after 21 days, contact us so we can send out a replacement for you under our 100% germination guarantee.
How do I clean my AeroGarden before starting a new garden?
After each planting, we recommend cleaning and sanitizing your AeroGarden for the best results.

Using 7 hole garden after being idle for years.
Pump is working. Planted Italian herb packet, Jan 4. All sprouting and happy.
Garden had not been used for a couple of years. Had to pull pc board and cleab with tooth brush. After several tries got voltage to pump.
Had to run diagnostics about eight times. Each time things got a little better. Now running like new.
Tiny plants are happy.

Day-O Day-O Pump is out and i won't go home.
The pump on my Aero Garden wen't out and i did not know what to do. So i got a pump from Amazon in I one day I had the pump. And I pulled the plants out an set them on the counter an changed the pump, The only thing took no more then about a good day an a half.
PS The I bought the Aero Garden at the Aero Garden store I got parts from Amazon becouse I have Prime so I can get parts quick.

Pump has changed
The pump went out in my older model Aero Garden. I purchased this unit somewhere between 1997-2008. Bought another online at Amazon. No instructions in the box. The new pump has Aero garden stamped on the pump and the same part number as the one taken out of my machine, however the new pump won't install because of the connecting apparatice. The old one has a different hole insert than the new one. Unit won't seat fully into the machine. The old one doesn't have a cylinder type connector, like the new one does. What happened?

Needs instructions included
The pump works great, but it should have included instructions - the website indicates that they are included but they are not. Additionally, there is a little screw that is needed to attach the pump, it would be nice if one were included with the pump. I accidentally threw the old one away with the older broken pump.

Ease of replacement.
The pump was very easy to install. The only downside was the filter for the pump was not included. So far the Aerogarden has performed really well. We've had great success with the Salad green packages. Also the cherry tomatoes have done outstanding.

Return policy wasn’t what I thought it was
This was the wrong pump for my bounty. I read all the info before I ordered but I guess I missed something. I was told to return it for a refund but it would’ve cost me almost as much to return it as it did for the pump so I went elsewhere and bought another pump that fit the unit. Remember if you order from Amazon and have to return it it’s free returns (at Kohls…how easy is that)
