Different types of plants take different amounts of time to germinate and grow. In general, we’ve found these germination timeframes to be consistent:
- Flowers take about 7-12 days
- Salads: 5-8 days
- Herbs: 5-15 days
- Fruiting vegetables (such as tomatoes and peppers): 7-14 days
If any of your seed pods don’t germinate after 21 days, contact us so we can send out a replacement for you under our 100% germination guarantee.

Easy replacement and reasonable price
I find my pumps don't last all that long but for this price, it's easy to replace them. My biggest problem is the little axle that the impeller rotates around is almost impossible to replace correctly once it is removed for cleaning. This pump is similar, but not identical, to the pumps used in my cat's water fountain. Those pumps do not have a removable axle and I REALLY, REALLY, REALLY wish Aerogarden would upgrade their pumps to have a non-removable impeller axis shaft. Otherwise, the pumps are a huge improvement on the old model.

Pump and Sensor Screws
I have the same question as Bill in W. Monroe LA. All four of the pumps for my Farms have held up very well, but starting to have some rust on those screws. And tonight as I was cleaning one of my Farm basins out to replant, I was trying to clean one of the screws and dropped it into the bathroom sink!!! Can anybody please tell me the size and thread of the screws so I can look to replace them. And if they aren't readily available, can I please purchase about 20 of these screws from Aerogarden so I'll have them on hand in the future?

Keep a spare one, don't know when you'll need it!
Buy and test one, then keep it handy so you can install it immediately.
These pumps occasionally get clogged by roots, and it is convenient to just swap in a known-good spare, and then clean the old one at your leisure. They can easily be disassembled by a non-klutz, cleaned, and reassembled.
The other reason to keep one handy is that they do occasionally fail internally, beyond repair. At this point, you need one immediately to keep your thriving garden from drying out. Having a good spare on hand changes a no-parts emergency to a survivable annoyance.

Replacement pump
After stupidly cutting my pump's power cord while removing my plants and starting over I was happy to see the replacement pump was available and affordable! It arrived soon thereafter and we super easy to install.

Good, but could be better
This pump only lasts up to one year before it starts to fail. Over time, build up occurs by the blades decreasing it funtion. Since it is all plastic, it will break. Wish Aerogarden made an upgraded pump for indoor garden enthusiasts!

With a working pump the garden is great!
I ordered this for a replacement for my garden as I realized that I could not hear or see the pump working, even when I turned it up to the max. I originally was sent the wrong one, and when I reached out, they quickly sent me the correct one. After I replaced this in my garden, I realized that my other pump never worked from day one. My plants lasted longer and it did not smell or was slimey and gunked up like the 1st one I started. I must have gotten a dud.

Original that came with my garden is exactly the same as this replacement pump, I hope this one lasts more than the approximately 15 months of use that the first one did.

Pump and Sensor screws
I have a farm and large farm for 3 years now and I have never had a pump fail. However the small screws that secure them and the water level sensors are rusting out to the point that all four pumps only have 1 screw holding them down. I have tried finding replacement ones from 2 big box hardware stores and even a specialty screw,nut, and bolts store we have here and can't find the right size.Anyone know the correct thread sice and length of the screws?

what is the function of the dial on the side of battery model #200623
Thank you for your interest in our products. This dial controls the power of the pump. If water is pooling up around the seed pods or overflowing our microgreens kit, you can turn this dial down a notch or two to decrease the power of the pump.

I'd like to get the manual for this pump...? I am curious what the numbers on it mean..? And the recommendations for cleaning it.
We do not currently have a manual for the pump but we would be happy to answer your questions. The numbers on the side of the pump refer to the amount of force the pump will push water through the garden tray to deliver to the pods, we recommend keeping it on 3. You can thoroughly clean the pump using a toothbrush and distilled white vinegar. Remove any roots and debris that may have entered the pump intake slots, clean, or replace the filter. We receive shipments from our suppliers regularly and expect to have the pumps back in stock soon, but do not currently have an ETA as we generally do not know what items are arriving at the warehouse until they get there. What number should i use on the dial on side of pump
Thank you for your interest in our products! The dial should be positioned in the middle. If there is any kind of issue with water flooding up through the pods, this dial can be turned down to reduce the flow of water. If there is not enough water coming through the grow deck into the pods, the dial can be turned up. Typically though, you should not need to adjust the dial.

Does this pump use a filter? I have an old aerogarden harvest and the pump that this is replacing has a filter that I just place in the front. This pump is different.
Replacement pump Model #200623 does use a filter. This filter is currently out of stock on the AeroGarden website, and we do not have an ETA of product availability. The pump can run without the filter, you may just need to check for roots periodically. A quick google search will give you results on where the pump filter might be available. You can also use a clean, unused kitchen sponge, cut to size, as a temporary filter.
