Start your garden's seedlings indoors and extend your growing season. The Harvest Slim Seed Starting System will fit the AeroGarden Harvest Slim or Harvest Elite Slim garden (not included) and allow you to sprout up to 23 seedlings while you wait for the weather to warm enough for outdoor planting - no sun and no soil required!
Just replace the standard grow deck in your Harvest Slim or Harvest Elite Slim garden with this seed starting tray, place your seed in the coir grow sponges, and drop them in to the 23 spaces in the tray. Your garden can run its normal cycle, no special settings needed. In a few days, you'll have little sprouts that you can easily take out of the garden and transfer into your outdoor beds when the soil is ready. Starting your garden from seeds is cheaper than using store-bought starter plants, and you can choose from so many more varieties.

Planting with Seed Pods is fun and easy! Just insert the pre-seeded pods in your garden, add water, and the patented, specially formulated Liquid Nutrients. Most plants germinate within 7-14 days, are ready for harvesting in 4-6 weeks, and will keep producing continuous harvests for up to 6 months and longer. Indoor gardening can’t get any tastier or simpler!
Lettuce is one of the fastest-growing indoor crops and it's a staple. Who doesn't love to be healthy with delicious home-grown lettuce, or add a fresh leaf of romaine on their sandwich, or a salad of tasty arugula? And with AeroGarden, you can enjoy delicious Spring greens all throughout fall and winter! As a general rule, never prune more than ⅓ of any plant at once.
Different types of plants take different amounts of time to germinate and grow. In general, we’ve found these germination timeframes to be consistent:
- Flowers take about 7-12 days
- Salads: 5-8 days
- Herbs: 5-15 days
- Fruiting vegetables (such as tomatoes and peppers): 7-14 days
After each planting, we recommend cleaning and sanitizing your AeroGarden for the best results.

Aero Garden harvest Elite Slim Seed Starter Board
I purchased the Harvest Elite Slim model at the right time!! They have gone up in price something fierce!
I have used my Aero Garden to grow the herbs and petunias. I have transplanted the petunias to outside pots, and they are doing great! I water them with the liquid plant solution every day!
I also ordered the 23-hole starter board that I used once to start sunflower seeds, but the seeds needed to be deeper in the pods.
I have purchased another hydroponic system that I will receive today. It is not an Aero Garden, but I got it at a steal! I hope that it is at least half of what the Aero Garden system is. And, I believe it will be!

Perfect for Garden
I have purchased two of these seed trays. I have started my vegetable and flower garden with these seed trays. I have discovered that the seeds typically come up faster in the aero garden then when I sow them in seedling pots or directly in the ground. I found some small storage containers at the Dollartree in the craft department that are the perfect size for domes. They come 6 per package. I am happy with my purchase

A suggestion...
Some thought was put into this machine! It's super easy to have success for a beginner and is really fun for someone who has been growing since they were little. I only have one suggestion: have a clear column in the front of the "fill to here" tower, so people who place the AeroGrow on a shelf can clearly see the water level when filling, without having to use a step ladder. Thanks so much for this quality machine!

I don't know because they sent something else
Ordered Harvest Slim seed starting kit but I got a shelf for Farm Stacking System instead. I called but no answer. Called again next day but got voicemail then phone hung up. I emailed twice and still waiting for reply. Let see how long before they reply back on how to fix my order.
I give the company 0 star for communication and 0 for shipping. I thought this was a big company and professional. So dissapointed.

Love the trays, hate the cost of the sponges
I have two harvest slims and only use them with the seed starting trays. These trays are great for starting plants indoors quickly before moving them to the garden outside. Each tray can sprout 23 plants at a time so I can get a jump on planting for each season a few weeks ahead of time.
My only complaint is that it's expensive to keep buying the sponges they want you to use with these trays. Instead I have 3D printed smaller versions of the plastic seed holders and either stuff them with rockwool or coco fiber and my own seeds.

Could be much better but still worth it.
I wasn't happy about the fact it doesn't seat properly in the unit. It is kind of wobbly, which makes the unit,, in my opinion, call for water more frequently. Also, not all of the seeds germinate because they are so close together and the taller plants block light from shorter ones. There is also no place to mark which seed is which. The only way you would know is if you planted all the same. By planting all available spots, you can't completely cover each seed with a dome because they are too close together. I would use it again but not use all the spaces to allow for light to get to all the plants. Unfortunately, this will mean the water will evaporate quicker because there will be open spaces. The unit doesn't come with covers for holes not filled. I don't even think AeroGarden sells such a thing.
