How do AeroGardens work?
AeroGardens are designed to help you grow your own herbs, vegetables, salad greens or flowers at home. Our Seed Pod Kits are compatible with every model of AeroGarden. Planting with Seed Pods is fun and easy! Just insert the pre-seeded pods in your garden, add water, and the patented, specially formulated Liquid Nutrients. Most plants germinate within 7-14 days, are ready for harvesting in 4-6 weeks, and will keep producing continuous harvests for up to 6 months and longer. Indoor gardening can’t get any tastier or simpler!
How do I prune Lettuce/Salads?
Lettuce is one of the fastest-growing indoor crops and it's a staple. Who doesn't love to be healthy with delicious home-grown lettuce, or add a fresh leaf of romaine on their sandwich, or a salad of tasty arugula? And with AeroGarden, you can enjoy delicious Spring greens all throughout fall and winter! As a general rule, never prune more than ⅓ of any plant at once.
How long will it take my plants to germinate?
Different types of plants take different amounts of time to germinate and grow. In general, we’ve found these germination timeframes to be consistent:
- Flowers take about 7-12 days
- Salads: 5-8 days
- Herbs: 5-15 days
- Fruiting vegetables (such as tomatoes and peppers): 7-14 days
If any of your seed pods don’t germinate after 21 days, contact us so we can send out a replacement for you under our 100% germination guarantee.
How do I clean my AeroGarden before starting a new garden?
After each planting, we recommend cleaning and sanitizing your AeroGarden for the best results.

Seed starter is great!
EspecIally for short growing season in upstate NY. I started several types of lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, squash, dill and celery. I was amazed to see visible sprouts on some within 24 hours! Celery never came up, but everything else did, and is now doing well in my outdoor raised beds.

Strong product
I am happy with the new, hard plastic seed starting platform. I really didn't like using the styrofoam inserts in the past. However, one observation: the holes in the plugs are very small. Fine for small seeds, not so great for larger ones. I had to pick out bigger holes with a tweezer for, say, sunflower seeds. Have used AeroGarden products for years, quite successfully. Thanks for an interesting, useful product.

Seed starter works great!
I start all my outdoor plants in the seed starter, 60+ tomatoes for me, 15 for a friend, 15 broccoli plants for me. Original foam instert has seen better days. This one is much better

As Expected
I haven't used it yet, but it arrived well-packaged and undamaged, with requisite number of grow sponges and the additional plant food. I read through the instructions for use - they do differ (the amount of plant food required per feeding is less), but they're still pretty straightforward. I bought it just in case I decide to use it next season. I noticed they don't sell this garden model anymore, and I didn't want to be unable to purchase the system later.

Easy to use seed starting with Classic 6.
This system is very easy to use. I can still easily monitor water needs and add more water through the flip-up top. My plants aren't ready to go outside yet, but I'm happy to see them growing quickly.
