How do AeroGardens work?
AeroGardens are designed to help you grow your own herbs, vegetables, salad greens or flowers at home. Our Seed Pod Kits are compatible with every model of AeroGarden. Planting with Seed Pods is fun and easy! Just insert the pre-seeded pods in your garden, add water, and the patented, specially formulated Liquid Nutrients. Most plants germinate within 7-14 days, are ready for harvesting in 4-6 weeks, and will keep producing continuous harvests for up to 6 months and longer. Indoor gardening can’t get any tastier or simpler!
How do I prune Herbs?
Pruning your herbs is important to keep them growing and healthy in your AeroGarden. You can start pruning when the plants are about 2 inches tall. We recommend only pruning about ⅓ of the plant at a time. When growing herbs, keep in mind basil usually sprouts within a week of planting, and grows rapidly. Be sure to prune your basil from the top as needed to keep the grow lights at the lowest position until all the herbs have a chance to catch up. Raising the grow light to accommodate the basil can slow or stop growth for other smaller, slower-growing herbs.
Can I grow different types of plants at the same time?
Yes, you can mix different types of plants in your AeroGarden to grow a variety of herbs, salad, veggies, and flowers if you’d like. If you are growing different plant types, it is important to prune the taller and bushier plants as they grow to allow plenty of space and light for the shorter and smaller plants.
How do I clean my AeroGarden before starting a new garden?
After each planting, we recommend cleaning and sanitizing your AeroGarden for the best results.

Grows well, but poor quality Lights
I am currently on my second aerogarden in 2 months. The first one i received, the lights quit working within a week. Customer service was prompt, but i had to wait first for a new cord (despite being certain it was not a cord issue, since the display panel and pump were working just fine). I lost the first batch of plants by the time the replacement unit arrived. The herbs grow very well and because of that, id live to rate it higher. However, I have had the 2nd unit for a month and the timer no longer works. I have to turn the lights on and off manually. I doubt highly that the 2nd unit will last through a year without needing to be replaced. Seems to be a low quality light panel on this model. Icing on the cake is that i saw the same unit/model at a discount box store for literally half the price that aerogarden charges on their website.

Quick ship but missing ordered items
I bought this a week ago and it came surprisingly faster than expected, however, it did not include the seed kit I ordered, which was disappointing. I attempted to call the number provided on the inner package receipt and when I called during business hours, there was no option to speak with a representative. It played a message and then disconnected the call. I attempted to send an email from the email address provided which bounced back to me. The entire experience was very frustrating. As far as the product, it appears to be working well so far.

Over charged
I was over charged. Should have been billed 21 dollars but was charged 95 dollars. I brought a 9 pod kit that was around 17 dollars.

Aerogarden + No Green Thumb = WIN!
I am loving my Aerogarden! Almost every pod sprouted very quickly and my basil and mini jalapeños are growing like crazy. I’ve even tried growing milkweed in the grow anything pods for my monarch caterpillars and it’s been a huge success.

I never knew I needed this!
Having never seen an AeroGarden, I got the Harvest 360 for Christmas and was admittedly nonchalant when I received it. Once I took it home, I set it up not knowing what to expect and the results have blown me away! I am a basil lover and can never keep the basil plants from the grocery store alive, so now I am convinced I can't live without this item. I am so excited try out different seed pods!

"Overgrown Cherry tomatoes."
I am attempting to grow Cherry Tomatoes. I have flowers and a couple of babies. I didn't realize that when it started growing, I'd need to trim back each time the plant got too far. My plants are tall and I have physically extended the light bar using a cardboard extender. There needs to be more understanding as to why someone needs to trim back early, before it grows above the light source.

Awesome machines all; fits anywhere
I have been growing on this and the Harvest slim since January. They are revolutionary products. I’ve never had so much success growing and so rapidly. I eat the best salads every day thanks to AG. I upgraded to the Farm, which is a testament to how much I like these. I mentioned in another review that I’ve never not had a pod germinate yet. However, seeds will always fail to grow, for many reasons, and predicting that requires omniscience. I’ve seen some reviews misinterpret the guarantee that AG offers as some kind of germination guarantee vs replacement guarantee and that’s unfair. I think the guarantee is quite generous. No one can predict when a seed won’t grow so the next best thing is that. I’ve been very satisfied, no complaints whatsoever.

A great gift idea for a gardening enthusiast
I bought this as a gift for my sister. She has a great herb garden outside in the summer, but she has always struggled to grow herbs indoors in the winter. She has had great success with this little indoor garden so far! The initial setup was straight forward, and it is still working well almost 8 weeks later. The sweet basil grew quickly and she could start harvesting from that plant less than 4 weeks after setting up. The others are growing slowly but they are growing. Overall, I have found this to be a good purchase at this price.

Its great when it works
I bought this AeroGarden back in March. It took this company about 1 month just to process it for shipping, and Im noticing this is happening with every order. I get theres a pandemic going on but other companies dont take this long and customer service NEVER RESPONDS. The setup was easy and my herbs were growing great BUT after 3 months of use my lights randomly shut off everyday, this never happened before. When im at work my herbs are no longer getting their required sunlight because this randomly shuts off at different times. Whats worse is these LED lights should be replaced every 6 months but theres no replacement lights on this site for the harvest!! So, $100 for a hydroponic system that technically lasts only 6 months is not a good investment!!

Great product - think about what you want to grow
Very pleased with the product. My issue has to do with the pants that I ave selected to grow. The lamp is approximated 11 inches from the growing "bed". I selected pepper plants to grow. The plants have exceeded the 11 inches at maturity. I will try lettuce and herbs for my next attempt. I suspect that they are shorter plants and will fit better.I am considering purchasing a model with a taller lamp for my peppers and tomatoes.
Also, suggest you get the pollinator for flowering plants. It much improved my yield after I used it.

Great way to grow!
This contraption is the perfect way to learn how to garden hydroponically. It couldn't be easier to set up and get started. I couldn't believe how fast my herbs grew and how delicious they tasted! I'm going to try lettuce in it next. I love that you can do it year round and indoors. If you're on the unsure about purchasing one, do it! You won't be disappointed.

Great conversation piece
My daughter bought my Aero garden for me 3 years and I did not use it until this year. I regret that because of all the fun I have with it now. Every day I message her with the tomato count for the day. Her friends at work ask daily for the count and how the plants are doing. The tomatoes are great but the conversation really puts a smile in my days.

Like my garden
The seeds grow really well. Don’t try putting the little plants out in the sun once they all start growing into each other, as they will die with direct sunlight without being acclimated. I learned this the hard way, although I might have been able to find that info on the AeroGarden website. So far I love this small, 6-port baby.

Great addition to the kitchen
Love this thing. Grows super quick and once pruned, it comes back fairly quickly. I think my first one was stolen out of our mailroom and the aerogarden peeps were easy to coordinate with in getting another shipped out. One of the pods didn't produce, I think it was parsley, but I dropped a basil seed I had in there and it's growing, so may be worth having a reserve option if that ever happens. Overall, a very welcomed addition to the kitchen and cooking! Love that I don't have to see store bought herbs go to waste.

Fresh produce all year long
If you want fresh herbs, lettuce and other produce for a fraction of the cost from the store then this is for you.
I received the 9pod garden several years back as a gift - grew sooo many herbs I gave away lots to friends and family. When that quit working due to the light I purchased this 6 pod and love it just as much.
Currently have the mixed lettuces and have reaped huge amounts from it. So nice to have fresh lettuces in December.
Will get herb packet and will try the small tomatoes next.

Great for winter growing in Wisconsin
I have been enjoying my Aerogarden with the herb mix. It's small enough on the kitchen counter and very quiet. the only sound is a very soft, occasional, pleasant sound of water running.Several of the seeds did not germinate, but I added seeds I had and did get some more plants going. I need to learn how/when to better transition the plants to soil. I was successful with the mint, thyme and dill. Neither basil did well when taken from the Aerogarden environment, even though I continued with the grow light.

Effortless Herb Garden
This is the perfect hobby for someone with no time for a hobby. With very little investment of time or attention, the herbs grow faster than I can harvest them. We have a constant supply to use for cooking, just as I had hoped. It’s a beautiful addition to our kitchen.

Not what I thought
It's a neat looking unit. But I'm fairly sure it's not doing the necessary aeration for the water to replenish oxygen. Nothing has grown at all except for the thyme, but it doesn't seem like it's doing very well. Most likely due to the aeration issue I mentioned.

It works great
I can honestly say, it works. Had to be patient for the pods to germinate but once I saw the initial growth, they took off. I was able to start light harvesting within a couple weeks. Today, about a month after I plugged it in, I cook with fresh herbs. Really nice:)

Aero garden harvest 360
The harvest 360 is quiet, I can grow anything I want I love growing herbs if I am using a recipe I don’t have to run out and buy an herb that I don’t have also it does not take up a lot of space which I love because I have a very small kitchen but what I love most about it is The fact that I can clean it and re-plug it in once a month and it automatically resets the on and off time that it was set at previously and I think that is a marvelous feature! Thank you for making a great product.

Don't buy it!
I got an AeroGarden for Christmas and immediately set it up, filled it with water and dropped in the seed pods and waited . . . and waited . . and waited. It's February and I do not have a sprout of anything. No happy.

The best gift ever!!!!!! We love areo garden
The aero garden is awesome this one was a gift for my sister in NY. I had purchased a aero garden for my Mom on Black Friday last Xmas. I would brag about it to my sister and she really wanted one so my Mom and I bought her this black one for her as a Mother’s Day present. It’s so much fun watching things grow. We have had fresh lettuce all kinds and herbs my Moms growing cherry tomatoes right now and it’s a gift that keeps on giving we love it such an awesome product. The best gift ever!!!

Seed pods
Seed pods don’t all germinate. Only 3 of the 6 of my original order sprouted. I purchased 6 more, replaced the 3 from the originals and none of them sprouted. If the remaining 3 don’t sprout, I will toss this junk.

Great Product and Loving my Aerogarden
My husband bought me this product about 3 weeks ago. I have always been a gardener & wanted to have a garden year around so this was his solution. When it arrived, which was very fast shipping & had no issues with shipping or receiving the item, it was very easy to set up and get going. Spend exactly 3-5 minutes setting up the product but kept reading instructions cause it was so easy to set up I thought I missed something.
Been enjoying watching my herbs grow each & every day. The main reason I didn't give this product a 5 star is because the Thyme has not sprouted at all. As you can see from the pictures everything else is growing great & beautiful even the parsley! I am excited about harvest time & getting more seed pods to grow more things. I also have my father wanting an aerogarden now.

Some grow great and others....
I received this as a gift. The first go with lettuces was great. Then I tried just herbs since it was winter and I love to cook with fresh herbs. The basil and parsley grew great. The oregano and were fair. The cilantro and thyme did not grow. I was sent replacement cilantro and thyme. Again the cilantro did not germinate and I think the thyme did not get enough light because of the other well growing herbs. One little stem and then it fizzled. I think I might try just 4 herbs next time.

Love it!
I've grown so much in this aerogarden. I dont even know where to start. It was the first aerogarden I bought and now I have three and one is a Farm XL. I've only had one pod that didn't grow anything in all the pods that I've used. I've grown salad greens, just about every herb, and lots of flowers. When you're in the heavy vegetation phases the water usage can be a lot. I will be purchasing the watering system for my farm when I start it back up in October. Thanks for a great product!

Questions
I grow cherry tomatoes outside and they are such a tall plant. Is there a special variety you recommend to keep them small? I would love to have them all winter. Are root vegetables (radishes, green onions) appropriate?
The Harvest 360 is designed to grow more of the smaller veggies and we would recommend you trying the Red Heirloom Cherry Tomato Seed Pod Kit. You can plant 1-2 pods at a time to allow enough space for the plant to grow and produce. Regarding root veggies, it is recommend to use a soil-based container rather than hydroponic gardens. You are welcome to experiment in the AeroGarden but we cannot guarantee results. Happy gardening!
