HOW DO AEROGARDENS WORK?
AeroGardens are designed to help you grow your own herbs, vegetables, salad greens or flowers at home. Our Seed Pod Kits are compatible with every model of AeroGarden. Planting with Seed Pods is fun and easy! Just insert the pre-seeded pods in your garden, add water, and the patented, specially formulated Liquid Nutrients. Most plants germinate within 7-14 days, are ready for harvesting in 4-6 weeks, and will keep producing continuous harvests for up to 6 months and longer. Indoor gardening can’t get any tastier or simpler!
HOW DO I PRUNE HERBS?
Pruning your herbs is important to keep them growing and healthy in your AeroGarden. You can start pruning when the plants are about 2 inches tall. We recommend only pruning about ⅓ of the plant at a time. When growing herbs, keep in mind basil usually sprouts within a week of planting, and grows rapidly. Be sure to prune your basil from the top as needed to keep the grow lights at the lowest position until all the herbs have a chance to catch up. Raising the grow light to accommodate the basil can slow or stop growth for other smaller, slower-growing herbs.
CAN I GROW DIFFERENT TYPES OF PLANTS AT THE SAME TIME?
Yes, you can mix different types of plants in your AeroGarden to grow a variety of herbs, salad, veggies, and flowers if you’d like. If you are growing different plant types, it is important to prune the taller and bushier plants as they grow to allow plenty of space and light for the shorter and smaller plants.

Not what I would choose !!!- slight design flaw
I own each of Aerogarden’s products and I have to say this one is the least effective.. I think it has its uses but honestly there didn’t appear to be enough wattage to get things going and the footprint of the model itself drowns the seeds in the basket because the water line is too close and it results in too much water during germination and a drowned seed and not enough wattage to dry and even things out- this would take a design change to make the product a bit bigger to account for this- you are better off purchasing a Harvest model…

Amazing!
I received the Aerogarden sprout as a holiday gift from my grandparents and I’m thrilled with it! I got the tomato pack, and so far they have been great! I planted them on December 5th. It is now January 9th and they are at the top of the light! There are flower buds on all three plants and it is going great!
Some advice I have for growers...
• Check the water levels regularly once the plants start to get big. The instructions say you should only have to fill it every 2 and a half weeks, but mine have been drinking all of the water in 2 days.
• prune your plants! It says this in the packet, and I will tell you again. The plants will grow up to the light. When they get here, it is so important to prune them! I have never been a gardener, so I was terrified to prune, but now I have to do it every day. The plants may burn if they are not pruned.
• unless you are planning on either waking up early and going to bed late, DO NOT KEEP IT IN YOUR BEDROOM!! The light needs to be on for 15 hours a day. It is extremely bright and will keep you up at night! It is a great addition to a laundry room or kitchen, but don’t keep it in the same place you are sleeping.
Overall, the Aerogarden sprout is an amazing product that I will recommend to friends and family for the rest of my life!

Overpriced and underwhelming....
I got this on extreme clearance, like $25. I'm SO glad I didn't pay more! I now see that every single garden is based on a lie. Unless you want only greens and small herbs, you will NEVER be able to put pods in all your slots. I am, as I write this, building a real hydroponic garden designed to use the aerogarden pods and nutrients. THOSE actually seem solid and effective. But you need a lot more room to grow a real garden of produce. The sprout is straight up a seed starter, it's honestly a joke and not even big enough for herbs. My garden consisting of two 4' rails cost under $150.... Lights, pumps and all.

A great way to get started with hydroponics!
I got this Sprout for my sister when she was going through a tough time. I was skeptical about how well the small light would work - but it was just fine for both flowers and herbs. The arm of the light raises surprisingly high (imo) and remains sturdy and balanced. It looks nice in my sister's kitchen and it's a mood-booster to see plants growing. Her teen-aged son likes maintaining the plants, as well as keeping it watered and fed. She said he doesn't read anything, but he read the entire booklet about this little garden and even went online to find forums where people talk about their Aerogardens,

Great Idea!
I love fresh herbs and always use them when cooking. I have already tried a few times to grow them in a classic pot, but it never worked. My house doesn't get enough light and I don't have a place to put them directly by windows. This AeroGarden is perfect for my kitchen. It looks great on my kitchen counter and there is no mess from dirt that would normally be required for planting. We started using this only a few days ago and our boy is checking his plants every day asking if they are ready yet : ) Looks like there are also options to get different seeds and accessories, which is great! I am now also looking at the Bounty Elite Garden and thinking about adding it to my Christmas wish list to be able to grow more herbs and veggies right here in my kitchen. Recommended!

LOVE!
I love love love my aerogarden. I wanted one for years but didn't want to spend $100 because I had my doubts on how it would work. I found one at Walmart for $70 and asked for one for mother's day. I am totally hooked. This is a very good start but if I had known how much I was going to love it, I would have gone straight to the Harvest or Bounty. I now have 2 Harvests in addition to the Sprout. The only small complaint I have is that the grow light doesn't extend very far and the tops of my herbs do get burned if they touch it so I trim them about every other day because they grow FAST. One of my seed pods didn't sprout but I contacted customer service and they sent 2 replacement pods. Do yourself a favor and get one.

Sprout Garden.
I gave the Sprout to my granddaughter as a gift since she is was showing signs of becoming a gardener. It worked well, but she definitely needs something bigger. It didn't take long for her petunias to totally fill the Sprout. It served its purpose; now I'm willing to spend more on the next gift. I do think using this model for greens that you can keep harvesting will work better than a flower that just keeps getting bigger and bigger.

Growing pains
It started out very nicely. We followed the routine it gave us a positive growing experience; the bump came and we lost the momentum. The bump we had to leave and were not around for 10 days. 2 of 3 appear to be gone. It appears the roots are to overgrown. Can't transplant as it's to cold. Parsley is still growing but not very much. Our options appear limited. More info or guidance would be nice. It's probably my fault for not looking hard for it. We are beginning the learning of growing gardens. Any simple help to help us simpletons is greatly appreciated!

What am I doing wrong? I’ve been watching my aero garden in hopes it’d grow but it’s been 2 weeks and nothing! I added the recommended plant food and I make sure the water is at the fill line. What am I doing wrong?
If the light is not at the lowest setting the seed will not receive enough light to germinate. Have you tested your pump to make sure it is working? The pump helps to oxygenate the water, which is necessary for optimal plant growth. Please contact us at 937-915-2583 if further assistance is needed.
