How do AeroGardens work?
AeroGardens are designed to help you grow your own herbs, vegetables, salad greens or flowers at home. Our Seed Pod Kits are compatible with every model of AeroGarden. Planting with Seed Pods is fun and easy! Just insert the pre-seeded pods in your garden, add water, and the patented, specially formulated Liquid Nutrients. Most plants germinate within 7-14 days, are ready for harvesting in 4-6 weeks, and will keep producing continuous harvests for up to 6 months and longer. Indoor gardening can’t get any tastier or simpler!
How do I prune Herbs?
Lettuce is one of the fastest-growing indoor crops and it's a staple. Who doesn't love to be healthy with delicious home-grown lettuce, or add a fresh leaf of romaine on their sandwich, or a salad of tasty arugula? And with AeroGarden, you can enjoy delicious Spring greens all throughout fall and winter!
As a general rule, never prune more than ⅓ of any plant at once.
Can I grow different types of plants at the same time?
Different types of plants take different amounts of time to germinate and grow. In general, we’ve found these germination timeframes to be consistent:
- Flowers take about 7-12 days
- Salads: 5-8 days
- Herbs: 5-15 days
- Fruiting vegetables (such as tomatoes and peppers): 7-14 days.
If any of your seed pods don’t germinate after 21 days, contact us so we can send out a replacement for you under our 100% germination guarantee.

Great concept and works!
As of 9/2/2021 I am on my 11th day. Seeded only one side with Microgreens mixture at first and now have a super abundant crop. Planted the second side two days ago and already the radish mixture growing so fast that when I am patient, I can actually see the seedlings move.

We still don't like the MicroGreens Kit
After writing a review saying that the microgreens system seemed like a waste of good gardening space and that the seeds put out a bad odor when sprouting, Aerogarden sent me some free seeds to try again. They still didn't have the felt pads to put the seeds on so I had to purchase those from another company. Not putting the seeds on so thick this time did dilute the smell a little, but it is still unpleasant to us. We keep a fan going in the room and an air purifier, but nothing helps. Plus, we still don't like the taste.The harvest was better this time, but we feel that the Bounty would serve our needs better by growing full size lettuce and kale. Thank you Aerogarden for getting back to us and trying to make this better.

Caused Bounty Aerogarden water damage
Bounty Microgreens tray does not properly fit with my Aerogarden Bounty. My Aerogarden therefore flooded and caused water damage to my bounty. My microgreens also grew algae that took over

Doesn't fit my model
Was excited to use this, but it doesn't fit the older bounty's and doesn't note that at all in the description. Customer service expects me to return at my expense for refund.

Does not fit all Bounty Elite’s
Was excited to shift one of my Boutny Elites to micro greens … when it arrived could not figure out how to assemble … turned out they are only available to fit the most recent versions … not my 3 year old Bounty. Disappointed that there was no documentation of this at all on the site!!

No more babysitting my mason jars
It is so much easier to change this reservoir once or twice a week than it is to babysit my mason jars for sprouts. I alternate the crops on each side so I always have fresh microgreens. I'm thinking about ordering a second AG just for the microgreens so I can have other vegetables growing too. Changing the water is tricky- I unplug the microgreens tray and hold it up while I have a 2nd person lift out the water basin and put a bowl under the microgreens tray. It will seep out a lot of water that you'll want to catch so it doesn't go all over the place. No problems at all like another viewer with water going in the light hole.
They must have had their light unplugged and out of the socket? My husband says the trickling sound makes him feel like he needs to go to the bathroom every 25 minutes, but I find it soothing, like a fountain feature in the backyard. I would like some local microfelt options so I don't have to wait for costly backorders. Overall, it's a win in my book and I'm very happy.

Easy to use
Contrary to other reviewers, I had no problems with either smell or noise. I followed the directions for use with my Harvest Elite, and was rewarded with delicious tasting greens which were ideal for putting in a sandwich, adding to a salad or topping off meat.

Gorgeous Microgreens!
I have grown microgreens before in trays which gave me a little more experience but the Bounty made it a lot easier. I’ve read in the reviews disparaging reviews about the smell. That isn’t because of the Bounty but rather it is the type of seeds you choose. If you grow broccoli seeds exclusively they stink but taste great after harvesting. I grow arugula microgreens for my neighbor and they aren’t as smelly as broccoli but they have mucilagenous seeds which give off a gel that keeps the seeds moist. I worried that they wouldn’t do well with being flooded but they do great. Soaking the seeds and then rinsing them before planting helps with the smell some what but not for long. I just change the water once half way to harvesting and that has worked well. Since you grow from 7 to 10 days that isn’t too bad. Once you get the hang of it it’s great. Be sure to manage your ph so that it is between 5.5 and 6.5. I use a Ph Down since it has a buffering effect but you can use vinegar. No nutrients needed. I bought a bounty and a bounty elite. Now I want a harvest to devote totally to microgreens so I can use the bounties for bigger crops. Happy gardening. I agree these gardens are addictive but really fun and productive.

First off, the fruit flies this produced were unbearable. 2nd, once you cut some for use, that section essentially dies - it does not regrow. Very disappointed in this product.

Inaccurate description. Unusable.
I was so excited to finally grow microgreensusing my Bounty instead of jars! I bought this to use with one of my Bounty models--unfortunately I, too, was unaware that it would not fit my models. Even the box says "Bounty Microgreens Kit--for Aerogarden Bounty Models. There is nothing to indicate that units with the flat display screen in front will not accomodate this kit. Very disappointed. Yet there must be a way to manufacture a piece that would screw on to the top of the housing for the pump instead of a piece that encases the pump totally and which is not at all compatible with the design of my Bounty units. (P.S. I have one the farm models as well as 2 other Aerogarden units so have been a dedicated customer. Wish that I had spent time reading reviews as that would have prevented this purchase--Appears that others were were misled as well.)

Good product design and function.
The item makes growing sprouts and MicroGreens much easier and more plentiful. I am altering the felt use to work better for my one person household. Hemp or felt mats can be cut into smaller sections and placed to fill the tray areas. When harvesting a tiny amount, pull up the smaller section of matting. This allows for more variety and a cleaner harvest.

Microgreens Kit
Overall the microgreens tray and felt for the Bounty were ok. I ordered 2 microgreens kits for the Bounty, with the first kit they sent felts for the Harvest and not the Bounty, the felts were smaller and I had to use 2 per tray. With the 2nd kit I ordered, the correct size felts were included.

Will ruin your bounty. Do not buy
Horrible. Super mad Ruined 2 of the bountys Because water leaked into the plug area also the charger got super hot which is not safe

Oh the smell!
Maybe I am not using this correctly although I followed the directions exactly. I got about 3 cutting’s out of it but then the smell was so bad I stopped, disinfected my unit and I am going back to growing veggies. Disappointed! Money wasted.

Grew easier and better than traditional methods
The microgreens grew very quickly. You do not need to add nutrients. The felt that came with the kit was square and did not cover the whole tray. Thankfully I ordered replacements and they had the shape and full size of the tray.

Micro greens
I planted the micro greens on October 23. Today is November 11 and they look healthy, but are still only about 1 inch tall. The light is lowered and I programmed for herbs so I don’t know why they are so slow.

Lack of quality control.
It was shipped with the incorrect felt pads. After attempting to use them some of the seeds floated off the pads causing clogging problems. My attempts to call customer service proved futile.
