Harvesting your mature Globe Basil is slightly different than other types of basil. Since the globe basil grows in a compact, round shape, you may need to gently push aside some leaves to reach the stem. Try not to harvest more than 1/3 of the way down the stem and cut just above a set of leaves (growth point).

Another great way to separate the leaves from the stem is to thread the steam through a colander and the leaves should pop right off.
