AeroGardens are designed to help you grow your own herbs, vegetables, salad greens or flowers at home. Our Seed Pod Kits are compatible with every model of AeroGarden. Planting with Seed Pods is fun and easy! Just insert the pre-seeded pods in your garden, add water, and the patented, specially formulated Liquid Nutrients. Most plants germinate within 7-14 days, are ready for harvesting in 4-6 weeks, and will keep producing continuous harvests for up to 6 months and longer. Indoor gardening can’t get any tastier or simpler!
Lettuce is one of the fastest-growing indoor crops and it's a staple. Who doesn't love to be healthy with delicious home-grown lettuce, or add a fresh leaf of romaine on their sandwich, or a salad of tasty arugula? And with AeroGarden, you can enjoy delicious Spring greens all throughout fall and winter! As a general rule, never prune more than ⅓ of any plant at once.
Different types of plants take different amounts of time to germinate and grow. In general, we’ve found these germination timeframes to be consistent:
- Flowers take about 7-12 days
- Salads: 5-8 days
- Herbs: 5-15 days
- Fruiting vegetables (such as tomatoes and peppers): 7-14 days
If any of your seed pods don’t germinate after 21 days, contact us so we can send out a replacement for you under our 100% germination guarantee. After each planting, we recommend cleaning and sanitizing your AeroGarden for the best results.

Easy to use cleaning product
I used this product for the first time on a very grubby, overgrown mess of a garden. (3 of the 6 pods had died out and become both stinky and slimy.) With some initial clean-up by hand first, I used the required amount of cleaning powder in water and left it to cycle through the system overnight. The next day I rinsed the garden base out, replaced the sponge and got new seeds planted in the garden. The new garden is growing great and everything looks perfect.
Note: I did not have any 'pests' or bugs of any kind so I can't speak to that

Aerogarden hydroponic cleaner
We had an old AeroGarden that was forgotten about and was dried out. Figured it was the best one to use to find out if this stuff really worked or not. We put it in and added water to fill line. Left it in overnight and by the morning it was completely cleaned out. The stuff seems to work really really good. I have a lot of AeroGardens so I'm sure I'm going to buy more of the stuff in the future.

Awesome Cleaner!
Bought this to simplify cleaning while going from one grow to another and it was great. I mixed it in the reservoir, recirculated for, I dunno, an hour or two, then, before dumping it, dipped a cloth in the solution and wiped down all the surfaces. Everything just came right off.
I dumped it and rinsed everything without thinking about it, but I see that it is "no-rinse." Next time I'll skip the rinsing and make less of a mess. lol

Works GREAT!
This makes cleaning my 5 Aerogardens almost effortless. Half a teaspoon is all I need to remove any sludge or scale. So happy you came up with this product!

since the areo garden ceanser is out of stock, how can I clean my unit?
Aerogarden Hydroponic No Rinse Cleaner Cleanser is out of stock, or even when back in stock, you can clean your AeroGarden between plantings by following these simple steps:
If you have a dishwasher: 1. Put your grow deck and bowl in the top rack of the dishwasher, 2. Run through a warm or cold water cycle (do not use a hot water or heat dry cycle!), 3. Reassemble to start your next round of gardening.
If you don’t have a dishwasher: 1. Fill the bowl with either water and a ¼ cup of chlorine bleach OR 5 cups of distilled white vinegar (no need to use water if you’re using the vinegar). Vinegar also helps prevent and clean up mineral deposits in your garden, 2. Let the water pump or aerator circulate the solution for 5 minutes, 3. Empty the solution, rinse well, and then fill with clear water (no bleach), 4. Allow the pump or aerator to circulate the clear water for 5 minutes, 5. Empty and rinse once more to ensure that all solution is rinsed from the bowl, 6. Reassemble.
