AeroGardens are designed to help you grow your own herbs, vegetables, salad greens or flowers at home. Our Seed Pod Kits are compatible with every model of AeroGarden. Planting with Seed Pods is fun and easy! Just insert the pre-seeded pods in your garden, add water, and the patented, specially formulated Liquid Nutrients. Most plants germinate within 7-14 days, are ready for harvesting in 4-6 weeks, and will keep producing continuous harvests for up to 6 months and longer. Indoor gardening can’t get any tastier or simpler!

How do I prune Lettuce/Salads?

Lettuce is one of the fastest-growing indoor crops and it's a staple. Who doesn't love to be healthy with delicious home-grown lettuce, or add a fresh leaf of romaine on their sandwich, or a salad of tasty arugula? And with AeroGarden, you can enjoy delicious Spring greens all throughout fall and winter! As a general rule, never prune more than ⅓ of any plant at once.

How long will it take my plants to germinate?

Different types of plants take different amounts of time to germinate and grow. In general, we’ve found these germination timeframes to be consistent:

Flowers take about 7-12 days
Salads: 5-8 days
Herbs: 5-15 days
Fruiting vegetables (such as tomatoes and peppers): 7-14 days

If any of your seed pods don’t germinate after 21 days, contact us so we can send out a replacement for you under our 100% germination guarantee.

How do I clean my AeroGarden before starting a new garden?

After each planting, we recommend cleaning and sanitizing your AeroGarden for the best results.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Gail from Fast way to start seeds before moving outdoors Received this as a gift. Took down the previous herb garden and set up seed starter. Since I didn't see individual domes and wanted the humidity that the dome allows, I turned the plastic that the seed starter pods rested in, upside down over the seeds when I finished loading each of the 50 pods. I had to cut a little notch out of the back side of it so it would fit around the light support post and rest over the whole tray. My seeds started sprouting in about 3 days. I did soak all the pods for 24 hours before loading any seeds. Am concerned about how they will survive once I transplant them into the garden but will try hardening them off before I do. I am now trying to order more seed starter pods. I saw

The kit includes the grow sponges and a container of liquid fertilizer which is plenty enough to grow your seeds for the season. I have included a picture of the growth of some of my seeds after 33 days in my AeroGarden. As you can see, I’ve already removed a bunch of them which I have planted in pots while waiting for planting outside in my garden. The only downside to this is that since it is for a newer AeroGarden they have yet to have a planting template guide for download. The older templates are not usable. So, I have included one that I made it you want to use it. With so many different seeds I want something I can use to distinguish the different varieties I plant.

We are newbies at this but did some research. Pretty much everything came up and we were so thrilled! I had baby radishes that I pulled to eat before we'd gotten them transplanted. After transplanting to our outdoor raised bed, we're still at over 90% alive and thriving!

Found that the plastic cover that comes with the aluminum tray, I save mine from shopping at Costco, usually has shepherds pie, lasagna or marinated meat. Fits perfectly over the tray

Almost all of the seeds I started sprouted, all earlier than their stated sprouting time, and I now have a house filled with potted herbs for the winter. I'm going to switch back to a hydroponic tomato and pepper garden for the winter months now, but will definitely be using the Seed Starting System in early spring to start some things for my outdoor garden.

Rated 1 out of 5 by AmmaReeBee from "Pump Tower" does not easily transfer The assembly instructions say to "Remove Pump Tower from Grow Deck by pulling firmly down." That does not work. There are 4 plastic tabs that will snap off if you pull "firmly down". Why no just include an additional grow tower in the box and have us transfer the pump. Not an easy accessory to attach. I'm sure it will work beautifully once we have a pump attached, but getting to that step will require an extra purchase if we don't want to break our original parts.

The AeroGarden domes I usually use for my Bounty are too big for the Seed Starting System. I think that's why they aren't included. It used to come shipped with a plastic cover that people used. I am searching online now for alternatives other AeroGarden people have used
