Frequently Asked Questions
How do AeroGardens work?
AeroGardens are designed to help you grow your own herbs, vegetables, salad greens or flowers at home. Our Seed Pod Kits are compatible with every model of AeroGarden. Planting with Seed Pods is fun and easy! Just insert the pre-seeded pods in your garden, add water, and the patented, specially formulated Liquid Nutrients. Most plants germinate within 7-14 days, are ready for harvesting in 4-6 weeks, and will keep producing continuous harvests for up to 6 months and longer. Indoor gardening can’t get any tastier or simpler!
How long do seed pods last?
Each of our Seed Pod Kits are tested for germination and expire one year after that date. To give you seeds the best chance to germinate, we recommend storing extra kits in a dark, cool, dry place. This will keep them cool and the seeds dormant until you’re ready to plant them in your AeroGarden. Some people store them in the vegetable drawer of their refrigerator in an airtight container or bag.
How do I prune Tomatoes/Peppers?
Fruiting vegetables, like tomatoes, peppers, and Fairy Tale eggplants, do require a little more attention and care than herbs, flowers, and salads.
What is the trellis for?
The trellis is an accessory that helps support medium and tall plants, such as tomatoes, peppers, and eggplant. Help your plants grow taller by supporting them before they develop heavy fruit. We have trellis systems available for Bounty and Farm models. For smaller gardens, like the Sprout and Harvest, try bamboo sticks, chopsticks or our Soft Ties to support your plants. Stick them down inside the grow pods next to the stem. Plants will grow up leaning into them or you can tie gently to the support. Early support can keep plants from collapsing under the weight of the fruit (tragic if it happens just before harvest).

Love this garden!
Wonderful little garden so far. Easy setup, good instructions, and growing just fine so far. I like to grow a few herbs, tomatoes, and chili peppers. The trees around my house have grown so big that I'm pretty much shaded out. I figured I'd give this a try, and I love it. I started with two kinds of basil and dill. I'm 54 days in at the time of the picture for them. The tomato and peppers were my own seeds, using the grow anything kit, and are probably about half that, and there is a tiny tomato seedling that just sprouted. I'll see how this goes, and if my wife lets me get away with it, I'll be getting a big garden in the future.

This set of 2 stackable trellises is a great addition to your Bounty AeroGarden. It attaches easily to the grow deck and offers a place to support your plants as they grow bigger. You can start with one level and then add another level as needed. Made of good quality durable materials. Great product!

Great support
My herbal aerogarden are already blooming and are growing tall. It needs additional trellis for support. I installed another level of trellis for additional support and it now stands firm. It really gives the right support needed for my growing herbs. I am loving and enjoying my herbs aerogarden.

Works great
I have the AeroGarden and I love it. The trellis for it has been amazing. I love planting tomatoes so the trellis has been really helpful. They are able to grow stronger and reach the light easier now. It’s not expensive so it makes a terrific add on.

Too Small for the Price
When I saw these units on the website, they looked good, but I wondered why there were no dimensions listed anywhere. Once I received the unit, I understood why. They are very small for the price you pay, even when they are "on-sale". I can, and am going to, build a much larger system for about the same money. The box I received was so poorly closed, I'm amazed nothing fell out the box. I have not tried growing anything in the unit, as I'm not sure how well it will even work. I should have asked for a refund after I received it.

Ease of use, Entertaining, and Enjoyable
I have a 9 pod and a 6 pod AeroGarden. Both were purchased in December, plants were started for each about 35 days ago. The results are astonishing. The units performed as described. There was a hiccup with the WiFi app for the 9 pod, but it was resolved by the company. If you READ the documentation that comes with each unit and follow the instructions, and follow the online tips you can grow a good crop. My enjoyment from gardening with AeroGarden is priceless.

Best Accessory for Bounty
So much neater than using ties; so much easier than the old Bounty trellis. Trellis also can be shaken gently to help spread the pollen. Three trellises stacked are perfect for the 24" high lamp hood. I hope they're back in stock soon. My banana peppers and eggplants are going crazy.
