How do AeroGardens work?
AeroGardens are designed to help you grow your own herbs, vegetables, salad greens or flowers at home. Our Seed Pod Kits are compatible with every model of AeroGarden. Planting with Seed Pods is fun and easy! Just insert the pre-seeded pods in your garden, add water, and the patented, specially formulated Liquid Nutrients. Most plants germinate within 7-14 days, are ready for harvesting in 4-6 weeks, and will keep producing continuous harvests for up to 6 months and longer. Indoor gardening can’t get any tastier or simpler!
How do I prune Herbs?
-Pruning your herbs is important to keep them growing and healthy in your AeroGarden. You can start pruning when the plants are about 2 inches tall. We recommend only pruning about ⅓ of the plant at a time. When growing herbs, keep in mind basil usually sprouts within a week of planting, and grows rapidly. Be sure to prune your basil from the top as needed to keep the grow lights at the lowest position until all the herbs have a chance to catch up. Raising the grow light to accommodate the basil can slow or stop growth for other smaller, slower-growing herbs.
Can I grow different types of plants at the same time?
Yes, you can mix different types of plants in your AeroGarden to grow a variety of herbs, salad, veggies, and flowers if you’d like. If you are growing different plant types, it is important to prune the taller and bushier plants as they grow to allow plenty of space and light for the shorter and smaller plants.
How do I clean my AeroGarden before starting a new garden?
After each planting, we recommend cleaning and sanitizing your AeroGarden for the best results.

I love this indoor garden
I love love love this indoor garden!! I love cooking with herbs and figured I would give this a try and see if it works. It not only works great, but it is also a beautiful piece of art on my kitchen counter. It was very easy to set up and plant. Although the garden didn’t come with directions, I was able to easily find all the info I needed online and put it together very easily. The light system alerts you when you have to add more water and this small cool machine does all the rest of the work for you. I set this up just a few days ago and my herb plants have already sprouted! I am so excited to use these fresh herbs in my cooking and so many of my friends and family have complimented this indoor garden and want it for themselves.

The Most Versatile and Best Design
Well, I've got Arkansas Small Leaf Cucumbers and Jingle Bell Peppers in mine and they're both setting fruit!!! This has become my default garden, i.e. what I'll buy if I want to expand or replace older gardens. The trellis, larger bowl, height and overall larger dimensions make everything easier and more ambitious grows possible. And, I love that it comes it white!

First Opinion
Sceptical at first, two out of six did not bud/grow ... replacement was very easy ... however, first rep said wait additional 3 weeks (did not bud in 2). The positive the replacement for the 2 was easy peasy ... the negative was that it was now 5 weeks behind the other 4 budding/growing plants. So, they said, the replacement would be overshadowed by the mature plants, and sent me some plugs for the holds and said plant later. Oh well. I could live with that ... would have been nice for everything to work all at once.
Would I buy another garden system, absolutely yes. It's almost 70 degrees here, so, I could wait until Nov/Dec of this year to try the edibles again.

warranty
will u stand behind your warranty, better than u do on your larger aero gardens. im still out over $400.00 dollars on the last aero gaden i bought and dont know what to do with the broken one i still have

Didn't Work For Me
The cascading petunias will not grow. First, I tried following the directions precisely. When that didn't work, I tried changing a few things with a new batch of seeds. Same results. There are some seedlings that just barely start growing and then they quickly turn brown and die. The rest don't sprout at all.

My first online order harvest xl no one responded I send pictures by email and told them to replace but send damaged and used one of my first order AEROGARDEN experiences was bad .I did twice email and send them more pictures but no one responded.

So excited! My first Aero Garden!
I seen a Aero Garden at a friend's house and I had to get one! I chose the salad mix, planted on Sunday December 12th by Tuesday the 14th the seeds sprouted! This is today the 21st.

My herbs will always be on hand
This is a awesome idea for a herb garden. The AeroGarden Harvest XL Indoor Garden has made my gardening experience so much easier. I have had failed attempts in the past trying gardening but the AeroGarden Harvest XL Indoor Garden has given me hope. Watching my herbs grow is very comforting. I love it.

Is there a seed starting system that fits the harvest xl?
Very disappointed to find out there is not a seed starter deck for the XL..I also wish it was an elite model. Love the height but need a second trellis.

Should the water pump run continuously on the Harvest XL model? Mine does not seem to be running enough.
Hello Sixvicks! The Harvest XL pump is set to be ON for 5 minutes and OFF for 25 minutes. To test the pump, hold down the green leaf button for 5 seconds will run the pump test and run the pump for 1 minute. When the water bowl is full, the pumps are whisper quiet so it may be hard to hear the pump running. The pump cycles water through the grow deck of the Harvest so water will drip down to each Seed Pod and oxygenate the water. If you don't see/hear any water circulation, replacing the pump is the next step. If under the 1-year warranty, your pump can be replaced. The water and food light is always on so how do you know when to add??
Hi there! The 3 buttons on the Harvest XL will remain illuminated at all times. These buttons are Touch-Sensitive and do not need to be actually pressed down to register. Blue water icon button will flash red when you need to add water and will stop flashing when the water bowl is full. The Green leaf icon button is the Nutrient Timer indicator. It flashes red when you need to add Plant Food. After adding plant food, touch the button for about 3 seconds. This resets the 14-day timer for nutrients, it will flash red again when it's time to add more Plant Food. Sun Light button is used to manually turn grow lights On/OFF and for setting light ON/OFF time.

Most of our pods come in kits of 3, 6, 9, and 12. We do have custom kits where you can pick your own pods. If you go to the top of the site and hover over seed pods there is a custom seed pod kit option.
